Defiance Falls by Ali Dean

by books and moods

“I’m hanging on by a thread as it is, Hazel. I want to throw you over my shoulder and take you away so bad. But I’ll be good. I’ve waited this long. I can give you one more day.”

Hazel Ross has always been the perfect girl, soccer star and excellent daughter, but in her senior year she just wants trouble. When she goes to a party of none other that Cruz Donovan, the boy who broke her heart when she was 15, that is exactly what she gets. When she was younger she used to be part of Cruz’s group but after she got her heart broken she decided to stay away from all of them, including her twin cousins. After the party she starts to hang out with them and realizes that they’re not the same boys, they have a lot of secrets and at some point she finds herself in some real danger.

This book has the perfect balance of young love and suspense, it kept me in the edge wanting to know all the secrets but unfortunately we don’t get to know until the next book is out, We can’t wait for the second part of Defiance Falls.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review
