THE RISE OF MONSTERS BY BRIANNA JEAN: Review

ARC provided by the author

Let me start by saying that I NEVER read fantasy books, much less one with so many different POVs, so to say that I wasn’t sure that I was going to like this book would be the understatement of the year, but I’m so glad that I read it. This is Brianna’s debut novel and I fucking loved every second of it!

This book is dark, full of angst and incredible sexy, the author did an amazing work creating this world and all these beautiful and broken characters.

A badass heroine gets me EVERY. TIME. and Annalise was the baddest of them all, so that’s a great start. She is fierce, loyal and strong. She had a fuck up, dark and lonely past, but that only made her stronger, a great fighter. When she turned 21, her world changed completely and now all she wants are answers. Life showed her that she doesn’t need anyone, but when 3 strangers appeared with some of the answers that she needed so badly, she followed her gut and chose them and sticked with them no matter what.

I was locked up tighter than Fort Knox. I had thorns around my black heart, hate in my soul.”

I’m complete trash for alpha males and this book have three of them, and they are just perfect!

Lanier was powerful, strong and all alpha, Quint was haunted, dark and honest, and Cabriel was protective, sweet and tortured. The three of them were broken, mysterious, strong and cocky. Together the three of them complemented parts of Anna that made them perfect for her, it made her stronger, complete. They were brothers by choice and with her they were EVERYTHING.

We could burn the world down as long as we did it together.”

The rise of monsters has it’s own unique storyline , Lan, Quint and Cabe are three dudes that I’ll never forget! I love each and everyone of them so hard, I’m so happy this book it’s a reverse harem, because having to choose only one of them it would fucking suck big time!

I can’t wait for this war to come already, I feel like the second part is too far away.
